About
Dr. David McGuire is a lecturer in human resource development (HRD) at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a specialist in the area of human resource development, leadership development and diversity issues.
David is a widely published academic in the area of HRD and has been recognised for his work through a series of awards. In 2011, he was a Scottish Crucible participant (sponsored by NESTA, the Scottish Funding Council, the Royal Society of Edinburgh and Scottish universities). He has previously been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and Government of Ireland scholarship. To date, he has published 2 books and over 25 research articles.
David has worked with a range of companies in Scotland, Ireland and US on HRD and leadership development programmes. He has been involved in a number of European projects including STEP (Service Sector Training in European Employment Practices), STREAM (Strategic Training for the Recruitment and Retention of Employees and Management) and BENE (Business Education Networks of Europe).
David would welcome correspondence in relation to research plans, knowledge transfer activities or joint projects with companies or charities.
